Carbon Dioxide is Good for YOU!

From the great state of Kentucky comes a letter from the Cadiz Record comes a scary letter from a firm believer that global climate change is a myth. Yes, there are still people who believe this, and Mr. Richard Crutchfield is one of those people.

Current heat may not be out of the ordinary for our planet

Dear Editor:

To date, more than 31,000 American Scientists (9,029 of them with PHDs) have signed the Oregon Petition asking that Congress not waste billions of taxpayer dollars on the global warming hoax. These Scientists affirm that, “There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing, or will, in the forseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal enviroments of the Earth.”

Geological records show that there have been fluctuations in heating and cooling temperatures for thousands of years. There have been many times of temperatures such as we are experiencing today, yet the gasoline engine, which is blamed for the so-called global warming trend, was not invented until 1870 by Siegfried Marcus in Vienna.

Long before psuedo-scientist Al Gore’s “inconvenient lies” burst upon the scene, the God of heaven promised Noah that while the Earth remains, there will be seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, that these shall not cease (Genesis 8:22). When I was a teenager in the 1950s, we had days of hot weather such as we have had recently.

I'm not one hundred percent sure how extreme levels of carbon dioxide will benefit us all, but, I guess if so many (American) scientists, some with PhD's even, say it will be so we should welcome this increase in a gas that leaves humans and other animals gasping for air as we all suffocate. There doesn't appear to be any hard evidence that may have been presented by these (American) scientists, some with PhD's even, but they do tell us that the hundreds of thousands of other scientists around the world who know that climate change is happening are wrong, without actually stating how or why they are wrong. In other words, these scientists seem to have chosen just to ignore the evidence that is out there and tell us that we should all feel very assured and stop wasting our precious time and money on this whole saving 6 billion people and hundreds of thousands of species of animals and birds thing.

Where all of these scientists (some with PhD's remember) failed, Mr. Crutchfield comes through by providing some very important hands-on observational data. Apparently, he went outside one day when he was a kid and it was hot, and that means global warming is a myth. Good work, Richard! And, THEN, to top it all off, he adds in a quote from the most scientific of sources; the bible. God will make seasons, apparently. We've had those for many years, it is true. You can't deny that. I just wish god had mentioned his preferred oxygen to carbon dioxide ratio for the earth's atmosphere when he spoke to Noah, and maybe told him what we should do when the ice at the north and south pole completely disappears. It would've helped us all a great deal.

  1. I am a native of Trigg County, KY (Cadiz is county seat) and I have known Crutchfield since he blew into town more than 30 years ago and started telling all us locals how we should live, worship, what we could and could not read, etc. I've told him to f--k off more than once, but it doesn't do any good.

  2. How dare you! Don't you know that to disagree with Crutchfield is to disagree with God?

    Another ex-Trigg native.

  3. Well, CO2 hit the milestone 400 ppm this past week. Don't suppose Crutchfield is too concerned. I am. We may have reached the point of no return.

  4. Well, CO2 ppm is now 420. Effects are become more and more obvious.

  5. Worst drought in 1200 years in Southwest. Lake Mead going dry.

Thousand year floods in E. KY, St. Louis, and Dallas.

One third of the country of Pakistan under water in worst flood in recorded history. Millions of people displaced and hungry.

The Global Heating crisis is upon us.

  8. Unprecedented drought in the Mississippi Valley. In some places there is "not even 10 feet of water" in the Mississippi River's navigation channel. Barge traffic stopped.

  10. Well, 2023 has been the hottest year since records began 175 years ago, and most likely the hottest in 125,000 years.
